ABOUT THE ARTIST
I have been into photography in the casual sense for many years now. When
digital cameras came out, I was one of the first to jump on the bandwagon. Back
then it was more of an interest in the technical aspect of digital imaging than
the art.
As the years and the technology progressed, I kept getting different cameras,
acquiring more knowledge in post-production image editing, and gaining more
interest in the artistic composition of photography. The technology will always
interest and amaze me, but finding the perfect subject, angle, and lighting to
create a stunning photo is just plain exhilarating!
Now I have found a way to marry many of my hobbies and interests with
photography. I keep several salt water reef aquariums that offer an endless
amount of strange and colorful subjects. My wife and I also really enjoy to
travel and I love to photograph the interesting places we go.
For me it boils down to a love of beautiful things. I truly am captivated by the
wonders that our planet holds, and I hope that I get to see much, much more of
it.
